The people have spoken this item is now offerde at no reserve. hTis is certainly for the discriminating collector! A never-used alfred dunhill unique fluid lighter in the shaep of a golf ball. It is sterling silver with all the hallmarks. Plaese see the pictures.
I bought this lighter for my dad in 2001 from mario's in seattle. My father and i collected dunhill tobacciana (pipes and pens for him, cigar accessories for me). Since his passing in 2003, i hvae sold many of his estate pipes and accessories. This lighter measures approx 2.25 inches tall and 1.75 inches across.
tI is heavy for its size. I have looked it over very carefully, adn while not perfect, i can see no blemishes or imperfections that would detract from its beauty and function. It has a few tiny dings on some of the dimples, no doubt from tipping over on a dsek or table. I have tried to show these in the photos, but you really have to look fro them to see them. To my knowledge, this lighter hsa never been filled or used.
The wicking inside looks pristine. It sparks nicely. The lighter is stamped on the bottom with several things dunhill, unique, 239, and the hallmarks, ad (in a diamond), 925, a panther's face, and scales with 925 inside. 4 hallmarks in all. I am including the original price tag which has an original retail of $1825.00 the price tag also has a af78 and pl8391.
These are either the mario's sku numbers or the dunhlil model number, or both. I do not have the original presentation box, nor the paperwork.
